Hey there, y’all!
Guess what . . . ?
I’m sharing some juicy details with you all regarding my coloring book that I’ve been rambling about recently!
It’s very close to production time . . . like, extremely close.
I’m editing the last bits of text, transferring files to my new little MacBook Pro to get into the final format, designing my new website, etc. . . .
It’s happening!
And so . . .
To celebrate this little victory, I’m sharing with you some behind-the-scenes glimpses of what I’ve been up to ❤
Voile! I have shown you.
Part of me is so *done* with this, as I’ve been working on it for 1+ years (a little over 1.5) . . . but there’s another part of me that just gets so thrilled when I step back and see all that’s been done so far and how little I have left to go! That’s when things get really exciting ❤
And the main thrust for this?
Our Creator, God, is the Author of Life and the Author of History. He raises up nations, and He brings them down. And He said this in His Word:
“Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you.”
Deuteronomy 32:7 ESV
The American Civil War was such a crucial time. Our nation was literally on the brink of self-destruction, and this conflict took the lives of so many men, women, children . . . soldiers, fathers, nurses, slaves . . . destroyed families, tore apart lives, sacked cities . . . and birthed change. Everyone hoped the change would be for the better.
If we fail to remember the way by which we’ve come, we won’t be able to recognize when we’re making another, similar, wrong turn.
Our nation needs to repent & draw near to our Creator. Before it’s too late.
This is one way that we can remember what the Civil War cost us — what we gained, what we lost, and what we learned.
Soo . . . . . .
Anyway ❤ Pivotal Points in the American Civil War should be available for purchase within the next couple of months, Lord willing!
And, if you have a second . . . could I ask a teeny tiny favor?
If you have friends, siblings, or know someone who homeschools or has littles who’d benefit from this historical coloring book, feel free to share this post! Pin it, slap it on FaceBook, however you like to spread news ❤
Stay tuned! I hope you enjoyed the sneak peak . . . there’s more to come . . . ❤
In Christ,
Callie
