An Artsy, Bookish Update
Hi there y’all!
Good grief — I apologize for not having written in a bit!
(And when I mean *bit* I mean a long bit . . . ) 😛
Winter craziness has disrupted this Southern gal’s everyday doings . . . plus another thing. And I’m Very ecstatic to get to share this with y’all ❤
Y’all, it has officially, finally happened. I’m a self-published author & coloring book artist ❤
A website for shopping is still in the works, and the Lord has allowed a pretty good response so far to Pivotal Points! I’m not expecting tons of sales, but what I am hoping & praying for is for Pivotal Points to have a solid, healthy impact on people’s lives.
For kids to learn to love history. For even adults to learn to love history. To understand. To enjoy something. To bring God glory. Those are just a few of my hopes ❤
I cannot emphasize the Lord’s goodness, mercy & graciousness enough!! He has seen this project through so many ups and downs . . . and there’s a part of me that feels that the journey has only just begun.
Do you have something in your life that you are hoping God will see through to completion?
Perhaps it’s a project. Or maybe it’s a person — a relationship.
Or maybe it goes deeper, beyond the surface . . . perhaps you’re hoping for change in yourself.
I get that. I have so many . . . oh how do I put it . . . *areas* in my personal, inner life that depress me. That, frankly, I feel trapped or swamped by.
But here’s what I have to keep reminding myself — and what you need to remind yourself — when feeling that way:
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.Philippians 1:6
To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.1 Thessalonians 1:11-12
Trust in the Lord, and do good;
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will bring forth your righteousness as the light,
and your justice as the noonday.
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for himPsalm 37:3-7a
These Scriptures have been rocks for me when the tide rushes over and threatens to overwhelm my inner peace of mind.
And, honestly, it isn’t easy to push myself to remember these. Especially when everything in me is screaming the exact opposite.
But . . . it’s the Truth.
And every time I’m faithful to remember these, He is so, SO faithful to bring peace and clarity. Maybe it takes a few minutes. Or even a few days. Or even a few weeks.
But as I continue to trust and commit these concerns of mine to HIM, and into His hands, He continues to bring confidence in Himself to the situation, no matter what it is.
Not confidence in myself or stability in my own strength . . .
But utter trust in Him & in His.
It’s definitely a process ❤ But lemme tell ya, it’s absolutely worth it.
So. That went on a bunny trail, but maybe one of you needed to hear it ❤
Thank you all for your support and for following me along on this crazy, rollicking journey called life! ❤ You are amazing, and you keep me writing here.
I’ll be lettin’ y’all know when the website is up and Pivotal Points is officially available for purchase!
Until then, stay tuned . . .
